We have recently returned from our wonderful holiday visting our grandchildren in London. when we first booked our trip I could not sleep for worrying what to do with our two dogs and a horse. Previous holidays were covered by our adult kids but they have now all left the nest and have their own lives. Because of the nervous nature of one of our dogs a Kennel stay was out of the question and my aged horse wouldn’t have coped at an agistment centre. I goggled house sitters and was so thrilled to find your service.
What a relief to leave everything to someone who loved what he was doing and who meticulously took notes about the diet and care of my horse. Our dogs liked him straight away, even the timid one came around quite quickly. We left happily, (Michael even drove us to the airport). We returned to a happy household of very well looked after pets (now we must to keep up the attention they got from Michael) and a neat and clean house.
What a Blessing Michael has been to us all. We can now look forward to our next holiday.

Michael was as wonderful this trip as the last time he stayed for us. From the first visit to collect the keys and refresh himself with us and our situation he reminded us of why we wanted him to housesit for us – our dog, George met him at his car door with delight, Michael couldn’t even get into the house! You could tell that George remembered Michael and that it was a positive memory.
I got to enjoy a relaxing holiday having complete confidence that my house and more importantly my pets were well looked after. I got home to happy pets, a clean and tidy house and nothing to worry about. Michael even left us a three page note outlining what he and our cat and dog had gotten up to, the walks they had taken, the food they had eaten and how the cat and dog had slept with him!
I have already recommended Michael to a friend and would definitely request him again next time we go away.

This house sitting assignment was to look after 26 alpacas, 10 ducks and a Rotty and run the property in their absence
Our pets were in extremely good condition (in fact if anything, I think they had been thoroughly spoilt). My husband & I are big animal lovers, and so it was a great relief to us to see them all so well.
Considering that Michael our sitter had not really had much experience with farm animals (aside from the normal domestic), he did do a very good job. As well, he was able to adapt to using farm equipment that he had not previously ever used.
The house was very clean.

” Michael was lovely, and Dougal actually looks like he’s lost weight (which is great news!).
Michael had asked if we would like him to email us while we were away and it was really lovely (and good piece of mind) to hear from him every Monday explaining what adventures he and Dougal and been up to over the weekends. I think our dog had more fun and exercise during this last month than ever before as he slept for about 5 hours once we got home. (We slept too due to jet lag :)).
I was extremely pleased with the way Michael interacted with Dougal, constantly playing with him – in fact the first time we met, he brought a ball with him and sat down and tossed it around with our puppy for about 10 mins so he could get used to Mike. It was at that point that I knew Mike was a great ‘dog person’ and immediately felt more comfortable having him stay and look after our house and pup.
When we returned, Mike even went to the extra trouble of showing us the parks where he had been taking Dougal while we were away. And he did this AFTER we had returned so he was obviously ‘off the clock’. He also spent some of his own money in buying Dougal some extra lean meats and some BARF products which was above and beyond what we could have expected.
Dougal has even sat facing the door for the last couple of days, as if waiting for Michael to come home to play with him:)
I have already recommended you to a few people from work (and I think one, Shu has already arranged for you to look after her cats 🙂

Like all owners you are always a bit apprehensive that the caretaker will not look after them as well as you would but if anything Michael made me look bad his care was so exceptional LOL !!!! Barney and Annie were happy, healthy and really well cared for whilst I was away. Michael was so dedicated to looking after them that even my neighbours commented on how good he was with them. He looked after the house and it was very neat and tidy. He even took the time to research holistic treatment for Annie’s vestibulitis and gave her massages every night. Even my goldfish Frank looks happier. Michael took the time every few days to send us a puppy update via email and it was really reassuring.
Michael is takes this responsibility very seriously and has a very intensive set of questions you have to complete in his presence – I like that a lot.
He really is a gem and people who get him as their petsitter should be very grateful. I will definitely always use your service when I am travelling and will recommend your service to everyone I know.
On another note Michael bought some food for the puppies and although I left money he did not use it.

We were very happy with how the house and the animals looked when we got home. The house was clean and tidy, Michael had even washed the sheets on his bed and hung them out!
George and Ellie both looked good – happy and healthy which was our priority.
I really appreciated the 3 texts he sent, confirming his arrival at our place on the first day, the mid week all ok text and the final day one just confirming we were home and all was ok.

Mike was an excellent house sitter, and he was so great with D’arcy I couldn’t be happier. He was very attentive to her skin problems as with the humidity and the heat her allergies can flare up.
He took her to the beach every weekend and she is probably disappointed that we’ve returned… he even took her to the vet to get her vaccinations as a letter arrived stating they were due during February. Mike also kept contact with us via email letting us know how things were going, and we met up at the dog beach a week after we arrived which was really nice.

We are very happy with the way our Lindi was looked after, she looks wonderful and thanks to Michaels love of animals she had a wonderful holiday as well. All the extra little things that were done for her makes it easier on us, as we can go away and know that she is in good hands. Also the communications with Michael during the six weeks was appreciated, and the garden was well looked after. Our home was clean on arrival, making it a lot easier for us to settle back in.

I can honestly say that Michael was an amazing house sitter. When I returned home I am sure that Hollee, Chester and Tia were all disappointed that Michael was not coming back! Michael went over and above what a normal house sitter would do including taking my dog on play dates and teaching me more about animal nutrition.
